MyGrad Program for Students

Log in to MyGrad

A valid UW NetID and password are required.

Important: Requests for reinstatement (degree programs) and re-entry (certificate programs) must be completed through the Reinstatement/Re-Entry Portal.

UW Graduate students use MyGrad to perform a variety of administrative tasks:

MyGrad Program for Students
  • Request/Pay graduate leave status
  • Apply/Accept a Graduate School award
  • Review Committee Changes
  • Submit a petition to the dean

Log In to Reinstatement/Re-Entry Portal

A valid UW NetID and password are required.

  • Request reinstatement (degree programs) and/or re-entry (certificate programs).
    • A separate request is required for each degree or certificate program.
  • Pay for an approved reinstatement request (degree programs only)

  • Schedule a doctoral general or final exam
  • Submit/review a master’s degree request
  • Submit/review an Educational Specialist degree request
  • Check the status or update an existing master’s request
  • Review/update dissertation title

Notes for newly admitted students:

  • Access to MyGrad and student petitions are not available until the first day of their admitted quarter/year.
  • Refer to the Application Status Page in the admissions system to complete any tasks related to an application or offer of admission.
  • Registration does not occur through MyGrad. Contact program advising staff for registration information.
  • Refer to important dates and deadlines.
