Brandon Tuan Nguyen, a doctoral student in the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine, has been selected as the 2019 Graduate School Medal winner, which confers a $5,000 award.
Brandon is in the Doctor of Physical Therapy program, as well as a DO-IT (Disabilities, Opportunities, Internetworking, and Technology) mentor, and he was awarded a 2018 HuskyADAPT Impact Award.
The selection committee commended Brandon for his efforts to combine academic scholarship with social awareness and concern, as well as his contribution to redefining the value of a doctoral degree.
