MyGrad help
For faculty or staff seeking assistance in using MyGrad, email gshelp@uw.edu where a ticket will be created.
Students should be able to access MyGrad here and should contact their program’s Graduate Program Advisor (GPA) for assistance, if needed.
Slate/Application Help
Faculty or staff needing assistance with Grad Slate for admissions can email gradslate@uw.edu.
Success stories, concerns, academic alerts, and other inquiries
Otherwise, use this intake form to submit a question, concern, idea or suggestion. Using this form will ensure that your message is received by the right people in our office.
Once you submit your inquiry or note in the form, we will review it and may contact you for further details if necessary. Our goal is to respond within three business days with guidance, answers, or referrals to the appropriate office or resource.
For students with concerns about their program:
If you are contacting us seeking support in a situation where you believe your program is not applying UW, Graduate School, or program policy or practice appropriately or fairly, please review the scope of our support below before filling out the form.
What the Graduate School will do
- Provide guidance on Graduate School academic policies and procedures.
- Suggest informal resolution pathways for academic conflicts.
- Oversee the appeal of college/school-level formal academic grievance process.
- Suggest appropriate university resources for non-academic issues.
What the Graduate School will not do
- Intervene in the contestation of individual grade disputes or academic evaluations. (These are handled at the department- or school-level.)
- Intervene in instances where the student believes they have been discriminated against based on race, religion, color, creed, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, age, marital status, disability, or status as a disabled veteran or Vietnam-era veteran. (Please refer these to the UW Civil Rights Compliance Office.)
- Intervene in student disciplinary proceedings for misconduct, including plagiarism and cheating. (Please refer these to the Office of Community Standards & Student Conduct [CSSC].)
- Provide legal advice.
- Intervene in personal disputes unrelated to academic or university policy.
- Directly mediate in departmental conflicts (except during the appeal of school/college-level academic grievance procedures).
- Intervene in union-related/Academic Student Employee (ASE) disputes. (Please refer these to UAW 4121.)Act as a substitute for departmental academic advising or counseling services.
