GSEE Final Year Dissertation Award

The GSEE Final Year Dissertation Award is administered by the Office of Graduate Student Equity and Excellence (GSEE) and is currently accepting applications. This is a highly competitive award for doctoral students who demonstrate academic merit, have achieved candidacy, are on track to complete their doctorate in the next academic year, and have academic pursuits intended to contribute significantly to future intellectual and cultural scholarship and research. This award is intended to provide financial support to doctoral students in the final stages of completing their dissertations. This award is not intended for students who already have funding appointments through departmental TA/RAships. Students may be allowed to hold other graduate employment or training appointments concurrently with this award on a case by case basis.

The Final Year Dissertation Award prioritizes GSEE Fellows who received a first and final year award upon their recruitment to the University of Washington.
