Office Hours for Postdocs
To enrich postdocs mentoring experience at UW, OPA is launching Office Hours for Postdocs. We have a designated faculty member to provide one-on-one mentoring to all UW postdocs.
Senior Faculty Advisor Dr. Bill Mahoney is available for office hours weekly noon–2 p.m. on Wednesdays and by appointment. Please use the online reservation system to hold your preferred time slots. During the one-on-one mentoring session, he will give advice and guidance on various issues critical to postdoctoral experience, including but not limited to:
- development of Individual Development Plans (IDPs)
- exploration of diverse career options
- identification of mentors
- grant-writing advice
- strategize conversations with your mentors
