This event is designed to be an opportunity for current UW Graduate Students and Postdocs to:

  • Explore various career paths in the broad field of Public Service
  • Learn how to enhance their job marketability
  • Develop connections with public service professionals who have earned graduate-level degrees

Schedule

Panel Presentation – Making the Transition from Grad School to Public Service
5–6 p.m. | HUB 145

You are invited to hear from a panel of Public Service professionals who will share insights and strategies for making that transition from being a grad student to working in non-profit, county, city, and state sectors.

Networking Reception – Grad Students, Postdocs, & Public Service Professionals
6–7 p.m. | HUB 145

The panel presentation will transition into an opportunity to chat with the panelists and additional public service professionals who have all earned grad degrees in the Humanities and Social Sciences.  You’ll have a chance to practice your networking skills and build new connections with friendly graduate-degree holders who have found meaningful work and are eager to share more stories and tips.  Plus, enjoy free snacks and beverages!
